SUMMARY:Bach Cantata Workshop with Carlton Monroe and AGO Elections
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Monroe is Director of Music at St. Thomas Episcopal Church 
 where\, in addition to leading an active music program for children and ad
 ults\, he established and conducts the Bach Ensemble of St. Thomas\, a pro
 fessional ensemble of instrumentalists and vocalists who perform services\
 , concerts and educational retreats centered on the music of J. S. Bach.\n
 \nAs a conductor and music educator he has taught at every level from elem
 entary to college\, including positions at Ursuline Academy and Walnut Hil
 ls High School in Cincinnati\, Miami University (OH)\, and Director of Cho
 ral Activities at Georgia College &amp\; State University. He received his
  Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Cincinnati College-Conserva
 tory of Music where he directed the University of Cincinnati Men’s Choru
 s. As a singer he has sung locally with the Vocal Arts Ensemble and the Ma
 y Festival Chorus. He currently also works with the Satellite program of t
 he Cincinnati Children’s Choir\, and serves on the Boards of the Cincinn
 ati Collegium and the Greater Cincinnati Choral Consortium. He currently l
 ives in Cincinnati with his wife Jennifer\, contrabassoonist with the Cinc
 innati Symphony Orchestra\, and their children Jack and Catherine.\n\nElec
 tions for 2016-2018 will take place at this meeting.\n\nParking is availab
 le on the street\, in the small lot behind the church off 4th Street\, an
 d in the lot next to the parish house off K Street.
