DESCRIPTION:Barbara Lister-Sink (born January 18\, 1947) is an American cla
 ssical pianist\, music educator\, and global leader in injury-preventive k
 eyboard technique.  She has published articles about injury-preventive ke
 yboard technique in Piano &amp\; Keyboard\, Clavier\, American Music Teach
 er\, Keyboard Companion\, Southern Medical Journal\, and Current Research 
 in Arts Medicine. She was cited in the 2000 Centennial Edition of Piano &a
 mp\; Keyboard as one of the pedagogical leaders of the 20th century.\n\nFr
 om 9-12:00\, Dr. Lister-Sink will give a presentation and jumpstart partic
 ipants' kinesthetic awareness\, guiding participants to use muscles effici
 ently\, optimally align their skeleton\, and avoid accumulation of tension
  while playing to improve their comfort at the console. The workshop will 
 focus on self-awareness\, self-knowledge\, and self-empowerment.\n\nThen\,
  from 1:30-4:00\, Dr. Lister-Sink will lead a masterclass\, where AGO memb
 ers can get on the bench for a hands-on opportunity to discover places the
 y might be holding unnecessary tension\, impeding their ease of motion and
  comfort level at the console.\n\nA ticket is required for this event. Mem
 bers of the Seattle or Tacoma AGO chapters and residents of Wesley Homes a
 re eligible for a ticket no cost.  Guest (non-member) tickets may be purc
 hased for $25.  A catered lunch will be available from noon to 1:30 PM fo
 r $10.  All persons (AGO members\, Wesley residents\, and guests) who wan
 t to participate in the lunch MUST pay prior to February 26\, 2026.  Work
 shop tickets and lunch payments are issued at Zeffy.\n\nA used music excha
 nge will be available throughout the day.\n\nThis program is jointly spons
 ored by the Seattle and Tacoma chapters of the American Guild of Organists
 \, and the Wesley Community Foundation.
