DESCRIPTION:Fritts Organs Opus 46 is installed in the chapel of Wesley Des 
 Moines\, a retirement community located between Seattle and Tacoma.   Th
 e installation is remarkable for a number of reasons\, not the least of wh
 ich is that a retirement home chose to install a tracker organ in the gall
 ery of a large chapel with a tall ceiling and excellent acoustics.  The o
 rgan has only 10 stops\, yet its warm\, robust sound fills the room.\n\nSu
 san McConnell of Wesley Foundation will talk about how the organ came to b
 e.  Paul Fritts (of Fritts Organs)\, David Dahl (Professor Emeritus at Pa
 cific Lutheran University) and Thomas Clark (organist at Wesley Homes)\, a
 nd Erik McLeod from the Fritts Shop will discuss the organ--how it came to
  be in this space\, the disposition\, voicing\, and relationship to the ro
 om. Learn about sand-casting\, pipe composition\, wood working and finishi
 ng.  David and Tom will talk about how to make the most of the available 
 stops in literature and hymn playing with musical demonstrations.\n\nA pan
 el discussion with all of the presenters will conclude this meeting during
  which the audience may ask questions.\n\nThis program is a joint meeting 
 of the Tacoma and Seattle chapters.\n\nWesley Homes requires that all visi
 tors be fully vaccinated\, without exception.  Masks covering the nose an
 d mouth are required at all times.\n\nThis event is open to members of the
  Seattle and Tacoma AGO chapters who have registered to attend.  Regretta
 bly\, the meeting is not open to the public.
