DESCRIPTION:Our Third Friday concert in May features Curt Sather\, organist
 .\n\nCurt Sather received degrees in Organ Performance from Arizona State 
 University (BM)\, studying organ with Robert Clark and harpsichord with Jo
 hn Metz\, and the Eastman School of Music (MM and DMA)\, studying organ wi
 th Russell Saunders and harpsichord with Arthur Haas.\nHe has served as Or
 ganist & Choirmaster for the Episcopal church\, most notably in Scottsdale
 \, AZ\; Los Angeles\, CA\; Olympia\, WA\; and currently at Trinity Episcop
 al Church\, Wauwatosa\, WI. He was also organist in Florence\, Italy\, at 
 the historic basilica of San Miniato al Monte\, the Duomo\, and St. Mark
 ’s Anglican church.\nA lifetime of study and performance of the music of
  J. S. Bach\, he has performed the complete organ works of Bach four times
 \, twice in a 24-hour marathon as part of his annual Bach Birthday recital
 s. Two CDs of organ music of Bach have been recorded.\n\nOn the program ar
 e works of Bach and Buxtehude.
