DESCRIPTION:In a unique collaboration across the mediums of music and visua
 l art\, concert organist Wyatt Smith explores the seasons of the church ye
 ar with two modern masterworks at the center of the program\, at Seattle
 ’s Queen Anne Lutheran Church. Liturgy LIVE! is a collection of six piec
 es for organ by composer Pamela Ruiter-Feenstra based upon seasonal Luther
 an chorales. Inspired by Ruiter-Feenstra’s organ compositions\, visual a
 rtist Jon Seals created six paintings depicting the human condition in rel
 ation to the liturgical seasons—each painting will be exhibited at the c
 oncert\, near the organ. Plus\, composer Craig Phillips has set poet Betha
 ny Carlson’s liturgical meditations as a song cycle for organ and solo v
 oice\, entitled Six Seasonal Songs\, which will be performed by Tracelyn G
