Mark Brombaugh and Tom Clark are planning to take the bus to Epiphany Parish on Saturday for the joint meeting. We would be happy for anybody to join us. If you’re interested, read further.
We will leave the Tacoma Dome Station at 1:28 PM on the 594 bus. You should plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes earlier. There is plenty of free parking at the Tacoma Dome Station on the weekends. You could also get on that same bus at 1:00 PM at the Lakewood Station and save us seats! There is a transfer in downtown Seattle that involves a flat 1 block walk with 15 minutes to do it. We should arrive directly in front of the church at 2:55 PM.
There are buses leaving the church at 4:55 PM and 5:25 PM. I am assuming we could be on the earlier one, but we will have to see how things are going. Mark likes talking to everybody.
If you’re going to do it, you need an Orca card. You can pay cash, but there are no transfers with cash and it will cost more. With an Orca card, the cost will be $3.75 each way, and half that if you’re over 65.
Standard Orca cards (under age 65) are available at all Safeway stores for $5. You can register them and put money on them on the web. If you are over 65, if makes more sense to go to a Pierce Transit bus shop and buy a reduced fare card for $3 because all of your trips will be half price.
There is no need to let us know if you’re going with us. We won’t be able to wait for you if you’re late.
Any way you get there, I hope to see you at the meeting. It would be nice if we had a good turnout!
