Greetings from your dean!

Our September meeting was an engaging demonstration of the clavichord and beautiful soft sounds coming from the two instruments on display. Thank you to Kevin Birch for his informative lecture-demonstration and to Dana Robinson for providing the two clavichords.

Our next meeting will be on Saturday October 17 from 10:00-11:30am in Lagerquist Hall on the PLU campus. David Dahl and Dana Robinson will discuss Theological Tone Paintings in the 18 Great Chorales (Leipzig Chorales) of J.S Bach and demonstrate selected chorales and excerpts on the Fritts Organ.

Looking ahead: on Saturday November 14 we will explore French Noëls, in particular those of Claude Balbastre.
