We regretfully announce that our Gala Concert originally planned for New Year’s Eve and rescheduled to February 5, 2022 must once again be postponed. With COVID infections from the Omicron variant on the decrease but still currently at around 5,000 new cases per day in King County, we feel that it would be unwise and not in the best interests of public health to present a choral concert until the transmission of Omicron has reached more reasonable levels. As of 1/20/2022, when our decision to postpone was made, the Public Health – Seattle & King County Covid-19 Summary Dashboard showed a High Level of Community Transmission, and we have no reason to believe that the risk level will change by February 5.
The new concert date is to be announced after the threat from Omicron has passed, but it will not occur until after Easter. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate through these bumps and obstacles preventing us from a full return to our live concert series.
We have issued refunds to all who have purchased tickets and offer our sincere apologies for any inconveniences. Thanks for your support of Music at St. James Cathedral, and let’s all hope that we can get back to normal soon!
