Grace Lutheran Church, Des Moines, WA (www.gotgrace.com), has a vitalized music ministry with musicians serving and leading together in various capacities, including traditional/blended and contemporary/blended worship, choir and band, bell choir, and children’s music. We are looking to hire a pianist/organist to be our worship accompanist for our traditional/blended worship ministry. Included job responsibilities in this role, is to assist the pastor and choir director in planning liturgies, selecting hymnody, and leading congregational song the 8:30 am worship service, and accompanying the choir both Sundays and Wednesday rehearsals. In addition, serving during memorial services, Lent Wednesdays, Holy Week, and Christmas worship experiences. Both piano and organ ability is desired. The sanctuary provides a grand piano as well as a new Allen GX235 with four organ packages installed. You will partner with Geoffrey Boers, director of the Grace choir to shape worship and music.
