You are invited to a service of Choral Evensong that honors Henry Purcell, the pinnacle of England’s musicians in the 17th century, and three of his contemporary colleagues, John Dowland, Thomas Weelkes, and Michael Wise. These musicians were on the forefront of music in the cathedrals, parish churches, and theaters and were a solid influence on those following in their musical footsteps. The service will be offered in Epiphany Chapel and will be sung by a reduced ensemble from Epiphany Choir. Traditional language will be used, and there will be vocal solos throughout by various choir members.
