Wyatt Smith plays music by Scheidemann, Buxtehude and Bach on the renowned John Brombaugh pipe organ. Mr. Smith is Organ Scholar at Epiphany Episcopal Parish in Seattle and is a doctoral student in organ performance at the University of Washington. He is one of twenty young organists who have been invited to compete in the Canadian International Organ Competition, which will take place in Montréal this coming October over a series of two-and-a-half weeks. Of the twenty competitors, thirteen countries are represented. The repertoire for this afternoon’s performance comprises the quarter-final round that Wyatt will perform in Montréal on 11 October.
