Dr. Anne Lyman is proud to present The Tacoma Early Music Workshop: NUOVA MUSICA, a concert of sacred and secular sixteenth-century polyphony sung by the participants of the Third Annual Tacoma Early Music Workshop. In its three-year history this growing workshop continues to draw experienced early music enthusiasts from across the Puget Sound region. This workshop is produced by Dr. Anne Lyman, Artistic Driector of Canonici: Consort of Voices, a Tacoma-based professional early music group.
This is a FREE concert, open to the public. A free-will offering will be taken for Christ Church.
Hailed as “early music specialists [who] sing this music with knowledge and grace [Rosemary Ponnekanti, Tacoma News Tribune], Canonici was founded by Dr. Anne Lyman in the spring of 2010. Canonici has received accolades for its performances in Tacoma, Seattle, and Bremerton and has been featured on the Early Music Guild First Tuesdays Series, the Jacobsen Series at the University of Puget Sound, and the Soli Deo Gloria series at Grace Lutheran Church in Tacoma.
