Members of the Tacoma AGO chapter play Christmas music at the Tacoma Mall on a 3-rank pipe organ owned by the Seattle chapter. This event is jointly sponsored by the Seattle AGO chapter and is open to the public without charge. Please join us for some holiday cheer!
The organ will be located in the Macy’s Court. The closest exterior door that leads to this area is between Dick’s and the Cheesecake Factory.
I’m trying to find the sign up sheet for the mall. Help?
I think it was highly successful. I didn’t know what to expect, but I saw genuine interest and excitement on people’s faces, about the instrument as well as the music. And, I forgot how much young kids are fascinated by moving parts that make sound! It was fun to show them the organ and explain how it works. Adults were engaged as well. Many came and sat and listened.
I think if we do it another year, it can be even more successful, because we’ll have an idea what to expect. I like Tom’s idea of having a card to pass out to people with pertinent information. Also, the next time we do it we could advertise it. And yes to the muscle for loading and unloading! Rick and I helped load the organ onto the trailer, and it is heavier than most people should lift.
It was a fun experience, and definitely worth doing again. Many thanks to Tom for coordinating this!

Thank you Tom for all you did for that, and to others who helped as well. Great ideas for next time. And thank you again for all the prompt newsletter articles!!UnaOn Sun, Dec 17, 2017 at 9:41 AM, Thomas B. Clark <tclark@ferree-clark.org> wrote:
