  1. I think it was highly successful. I didn’t know what to expect, but I saw genuine interest and excitement on people’s faces, about the instrument as well as the music. And, I forgot how much young kids are fascinated by moving parts that make sound! It was fun to show them the organ and explain how it works. Adults were engaged as well. Many came and sat and listened.
I think if we do it another year, it can be even more successful, because we’ll have an idea what to expect. I like Tom’s idea of having a card to pass out to people with pertinent information. Also, the next time we do it we could advertise it. And yes to the muscle for loading and unloading! Rick and I helped load the organ onto the trailer, and it is heavier than most people should lift.
It was a fun experience, and definitely worth doing again. Many thanks to Tom for coordinating this!

  2. Thank you Tom for all you did for that, and to others who helped as well.  Great ideas for next time.  And thank you again for all the prompt newsletter articles!!UnaOn Sun, Dec 17, 2017 at 9:41 AM, Thomas B. Clark <tclark@ferree-clark.org> wrote:

I would judge the organ at the mall event to be successful.  We don’t know how many people saw the organ, but I think it was a steady stream.  Satya and Sandy were there, and can add their opinions. I think it is worth doing again, but with some enhancements.  We should have a card to pass out with some basic information on our group, including the web address and how to take organ lessons. We might consider having cookies. We should definitely hire some muscle to help move the organ in and out.  Seattle has indicated that they want to do it again, but I think the second time, we would have to help with the cost of the trailer.  If we could figure out a way to publicize it, that would be good also.  We should also plan it far enough in advance that we can get more members to participate. I have already written the newsletter article.  It’s here: https://tacomaago.org/ago-goes-to-the-tacoma-mall/ _______________________________________________ Agoboard mailing list Agoboard@ferree-clark.org
