We are looking to hire a pianist/organist to be our worship accompanist for our traditional/blended worship ministry. Included job responsibilities in this role, is to assist the pastor and choir director in planning liturgies, selecting hymnody, and leading congregational song the 8:30 am worship service, and accompanying the choir both Sundays and Wednesday rehearsals. In addition, serving during memorial services, Lent Wednesdays, Holy Week, and Christmas worship experiences. Both piano and organ ability is desired. The sanctuary provides a beautiful grand piano as well as a new Allen GX235 with four organ packages installed.
You will be blessed by working with Geoffrey Boers, Director of Choral Activities at the University of Washington who is responsible for directing the Grace Choir and choosing all music for them. He works directly with you in shaping the choir and congregational participation within worship, including introducing new hymns, liturgies, providing anthems.
